The only EUROHOLD Balkan League participant left in the Israeli State Cup - BC Hapoel Tel Aviv found their way out of the competition. Erez Edelshtein′s team lost to Maccabi Rishon in their quarterfinal game, played at Hadar Yosef. The final score was 70:79, as Maccabi moved on to the semifinals.   Hapoel were down by 12 points halfway through the game - 31:43 and despite their attempts to turn things around in the second half, they weren′t able to get anything out from the contest and lost 70:79.   Experienced guard-forward Cory Carr was the best player on the court for Hapoel, finishing with 17 points in the loss. Curtis Kelly added 15 and Gal Eytan added 13 in the losing effort.   Joe Crawford led Rishon with 27, Adrian Uter added 21 and Amit Ben David had 16 in the win.   In the previous round of the State Cup - the eightfinals, Hapoel Tel Aviv knocked out the other Israeli team in the BIBL - Galil Gilboa.
