Levski cruised past Zrinjski for their sixth straight win

BC Levski cruised past HKK Zrinjski Mostar in Mostar, and remained perfect on top of Group B. Titi Papazov′s side won in Bosnia & Herzegovina, getting their sixth straight win from the start of the season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League.   Levski scored the first points of the night, as Dimitar Angelov made a three-pointer for 0:3, but Marcel Jones responded with a three of his own for 3:3. The lead was changed two times in the following minutes, before Zrinjski managed two break ahead by 7 points - 15:8 after a basket by Diego Kapelan with around four minutes left in the quarter. Levski quickly decreased theyr deficit to just two points - 15:13 after five unanswered points, but again it was Zrinjski who was ahead after 10 minutes of play in Mostar - 18:17.
 
Levski managed to get the lead back early in the second period - 20:22 with 7.43 to go until halftime and didn′t let it get away. The lead was varying from 2 to 6 points, before it rose up to double digits - 26:36 with one minute and fifty seconds to go. After 20 minutes of play it was Levski who had the lead - 30:36 after 12:19 in the second quarter.
 
Marcus Hall made a two-pointer to increase Levski′s lead to 30:38, and Vassil Evtimov made the difference 10 points 30:40 just one minute and twenty seconds after the start of the second half. However HKK Zrinjski scored six straight points, decreasing the deficit to just four - 36:40. Hrisimir Dimitrov scored for 36:42, but Marcel Jones and Ermin Jazvin made it 40:42 with 4.27 left to go. Until the end of the period Zrinjski scored 8 points against 5 for Levski, and after 30 minutes of play they led by one - 48:47.   The fourth quarter was the key to Levski′s win tonight in Mostar. In the last period, the Bulgarian side scored twice more than their opposition - 22 against 11, and deservedly grabbed the win in the end, as the final score was settled at 59:69.   Aaron Harper led Levski in scoring with 12 points, as he also added 6 rebounds. Jarrett Howell scored 11 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in his debut for Levski in the BIBL. Two other players finished with 9 points each - Pavel Ivanov and Hrisimir Dimitrov. Marcus Hall had 6 assists in the win.   Marcel Jones was the top perfomer for HKK Zrinjski once again. The American forward had his fourth double-double of the season - 15 points and 12 rebounds. Almir Hasandic added 12 points, while Ermin Jazvin had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in his BIBL debut, but also commited 7 turnovers.   Levski remained on top of Group B after tonight′s game, as this was their sixth straight win and their balance is 6-0. Zrinjski remained on the bottom, as they are still searching for their first win of the season - 0-6.
