Mornar Bar moved up to the second spot after winning against Rilski Sportist

KK Mornar Bar moved up to the second position in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League, after an important 89:76 home win against BC Rilski Sportist. Mornar now have a balance of 5-3 while Rilski Sportist dropped down to 4-4 and moved to the third spot in the group.Hristo Zahariev scored the first point of the night for 0:1, before Lazar Radosavljevic made it 2:1. The two sides were tied at 4:4 with 8.48 to go before Rilski Sportist went on a 6-0 run, getting their first bigger lead of the night - 4:10 with 7.30 left. The visitors had their first double-digit lead four minutes into the first quarter when they led 5:15. Riletso continued to push and 3.35 before the end of the quarter they were up by 15 - 10:25. However in the minutes until the end of the period they would score just 4 points against 14 for Mornar, and after 10 minutes of play the score was 24:29.
Branko Mirkovic extended Rilski′s lead to 24:32 early in the second period, but in the next minutes Mornar took over the game, as they managed to scored 11 unanswered points, and led the game 35:32 with 5.35 left in the first half. Sasa Mijajlovic, Branko Mirkovic and Hristo Zahariev scored the next six points in the game, giving Rilski a 35:38 lead with 2.18 left to play. Until the end of the half Mornar scored four points agaisnt seven for the visiting side, and Rilski Sportist held a 42:45 lead after 20 minutes of basketball.
Filip Barovic, Ivan Jelenic and Lazar Radosavljevic scored the first six points after the halftime break, giving Mornar Bar a 48:45 lead with 7.28 left on the clock. The home team remained ahead of their opposition, as they led the game 52:49 with less than five minutes remaining in the third quarter. The home team scored five in a row, leading the game 57:49 with 3.50 left. Rilski went ona 11-3 run, cutting their deficit down to just one - 61:60, but after 30 minutes Mornar remained with the lead - 67:63.
Ante Bilobrk made a three, cutting his team′s deficit down to one point - 67:66, but Mornar would go on a 9-0 run, getting the lead back to double digits - 76:66 with 5.31 to go. Sasa Mijajlovic made it 76:68 and Asen Velikov scored a three to pull Rilski back to just five points away - 76:71, four and a half minutes before the end of regulation. Mornar scored the next six points, and led the game 82:71 with 2.43 to go, but Branko Mirkovic made a three for 82:74. Mornar led by 10 with 28 seconds to go - 85:75. After a sequence of free-throws by both teams, the final score was settled at 89:76 in favor of Mornar.
Filip Barovic led the winning side with 21 points and 7 rebounds, Ivan Jelenic had 20 points, while Lazar Radosavljevic and Akeem Scott added 15 points each.
Branko Mirkovic had 23 for Rilski Sportist, Ante Bilobrk and Filip Vukosavljevic finished with 11 points each and Asen Velikov added 10.
