A couple of decisive games and fairplay until the end

Either Rilski or Timisoara will go through

We are reaching the end of the regular season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as the remaining participants in the quarterfinals will be decided in a couple of games left in the regular campaign.

The only question in the two groups are which teams will finish on third place, as there are chances for two teams in Group A and Group B. So far the system of the BIBL has proven to be good, as everything is decided in a competitive manner in the very end of the regular season.

In Group A the third-placed team will be decided between BC Rilski Sportist and BC Timisoara. Rilski Sportist are playing against OKK Beograd at home, and they need a win in order to go through to the quarterfinals. Timisoara are playing Mornar at home, and they also need to get the win and must hope for OKK Beograd to beat Rilski in order for them to go through. Timisoara has advantage in the direct games against Rilski Sportist, as they lost 80:78 in Samokov, but won 80:69 in Romania.

The two important games in Group A are scheduled for the 6th of March and they will have the same starting hour – 17.45.

 
In Group B the defending champion KK Feni Industries needs one win from the two games in order to move on to the quarterfinals. Emil Rajkovic’s side is playing BC Levski (March 7th) and HKK Zrinjski (March 20th). Feni have better balance in the direct games with Napredak (currently third), as they won in Kavadarci (77:72) and lost in Krusevac (81:77). The only option of Napredak for going to the quarterfinals is two losses for Feni in their two remaining games. hope for two losses for Feni Industries. Feni has advantage in the direct games with Napredak, as in Kavadarci they won by five points (77:72) and after that in Krusevac they lost by 4 (81:77).
