The key players: Branko Mirkovic and Nenad Misanovic
Before the two decisive games tomorrow night, we′re presenting you some of the key players for the teams playing. We′re starting off with Rilski Sportist and OKK Beograd.
Branko Mirkovic
Rilski Sportist’s point guard has been a real leader and along with that main contributor for the five wins the team has achieved so far in Group A of the EUROHOLD Balkan League. Mirkovic has appeared in 9 games, as he failed to score more than 10 points in only one occasion. The Serbian playmaker has been putting in good all-around performances, as he’s not only the team’s best scorer (18.2 points) and pаsser (5.0 assists), but also contributes on the defensive end of the floor (1.9 steals). Mirkovic is definitely Rilski’s top option when the game is on the line, and decisive plays are to be called. His complete statline is 18.2 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 2.4 turnovers in 30.9 minutes average in 9
appearances. He shoots 43.5% for 2 points, 57.8% for 3 points and 88.5% from
the free-throw line.
Nenad Misanovic
The 217-cm tall center has been showing some good performances recently, as he is without any doubt OKK Beograd’s top performing big man in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, and even maybe the team’s top performer in the latest BIBL games. Misanovic had a great game in the team’s loss to Mornar Bar (75:73) when he had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and also in the loss to Torus (75:70) when he scored a second-best 18 points. He’s a presence in the paint for his team and his game can definitely be a turning point in the visit to Rilski Sportist. For 8 games in the BIBL this season Misanovic averages 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in just 22.0 minutes per game. He also shoots 53.2% for 2 points and 68.4% from the free-throw line, and along with that adds 0.8 blocked shots per game.
