Asen Hristov: "Let the better team win!"

Dear Guests, Participants, Basketball Fans,   I welcome you at the opening of the fourth Balkan Basketball League Tournament final series.    To be honest, I am not surprised at all that the newest country-participant in the EUROHOLD Balkan Basketball League sent two teams to the Final Four, which logically made your beatiful country a host of this magnificent basketball feast. The Israeli teams have always been of crucial importance for the European and World basketball. To this end, I can firmly say that the Balkan League won a lot of new  fans thanks to the involvement of teams such as Galil Gilboa and Hapoel Tel Aviv.   You really have wonderful basketball players and incredible audience and I can sincerely congratulate you for this!   Here we have the gold medal winners from the 2010 and 2011 tournaments - the teams of Levski and Feni, who are looking at the gold medals again, so we expect to enjoy terrific matches. The matches during 2011/2012 season were seen by about 300 000 people from 177 countries on the TV, thanks to the live match shows broadcasted on the online Sport Media TV. Of course, we thank for the support of the TV teams in Israel for providing the highest standard TV signal and serving as an example for our other partners in the Balkans. We were aimed at making the game and sport in general more accessible and more watchable for the spectator, and I think we succeeded to do this.    I wish success to all of the participants, and let the fans enjoy FINAL FOUR 2012, Let the better win!   Sincerly yours, Asen Hristov
