Domestic leagues: Defeats for Levski and Rilski Sportist in the third semifinal games

Levski is now leading 2-1 against Balkan in the semifinals series of the championship. In Game 3 The Greens from Botevgrad won at home 86-78 and kept their chances of reaching the final alive. Game 4 is on Wednesday in Botevgrad.

Balkan had a great start to the match and scored the first 12 points. Late in the first half the team went up by 22 but Levski started good the third quarter and came back in to the match. In the last quarter the visitors cut their deficit to 5 points but then Balkan scored a triple and a two-pointer and managed to hold on to their lead until the end.

Marko Marinovic finished with 18 points for Levski and Chavdar Kostov added 15.

Rilski Sportist also didn′t win its game and lost 61-86 at home against Lukoil Academic. With this result the team from Samokov is now down 1-2 in the semifinal series and is one defeat away from elimination.

In the second quarter Lukoil made 11-0 run that put the team ahead by 16 points. From that point on there was no chance for Rilski as the hosts closed the gap to 10 points but the visitors answered right back with 7 straight and cruised to the victory.

Terry Smith had 17 points for Rilski as Hristo Zahariev added 13.
