Konstantin Papazov: Our participation in EUROHOLD Balkan League is useful for the team

Levski is tied with Lukoil Academic 2-2 in the Finals of Bulgarian championship and the title will be decided in Game 5 on Monday. The head coach of the team Konstantin Papazov spoke about that and also said whether the team′s participation in EUROHOLD Balkan League helps Levski to perform better. Here is what Titi said:

"I think that our participation in EUROHOLD Balkan League is useful. From the top four teams in Bulgaria two were part of the competition and two were not. However I think that it′s a positive thing to play 14 or 16 more games during the season. Especially when the games are hard it helps you get better mentally. My personal opinion is that our participation in EUROHOLD Balkan League is a plus for us. I don′t know if it helps us right now in the Finals but in general it′s a positive thing for us. The games that we play, especially now when the level of the tournament increased, are defintely useful for us.

It would be very good for Bulgaria to have a third team in the competition. However there must be a parity and other countries also want to be a part of it. I don′t know if this is possible but there is no doubt a third Bulgarian team in the competition will be a positive things. Every participation is a big plus for us and we′ll see what happens. I don′t know if the other countries will agree but a third team from Bulgaria will be a very good thing.

Both us and Lukoil Academic are exhausted, probably more mentally. For us to come back from minus 16 points, it requires more energy, not only physical but mental as well. When you have reached the last game which decides the title, I′m sure everybody will give his best. It′s decisive which team will play with less pressure. A game like this brings pressure and the team that succeeds to shake out of it quicker will have the advantage."
