Change in the rule about using non European players for the new season in EUROHOLD Balkan League

There will be a change in the rule for the new season in EUROHOLD Balkan League. That change is regarding the using of non-European players during the games of the tournament. Last season each club could include in the roster for particular game a maximum of four non European players and on the playing court there had to be present at least one player who is eligible to play for the national team of the club’s country.
This season the rule has been changed as the idea is to give more local players the chance to compete and develop. Here is what the new rule is as it is written down in the Official regulations:
The National Federation is responsible for the eligibility of its players at all times.
Only those players who are duly registered for their club in the national championship of the respective federation are entitled to participate in BIBL.
-  Each club participating in BIBL may include in the team’s list for the particular game a maximum of 5 (five) non European players who have a legal nationality of a country outside Europe.
-  During the game on the playing court all the time must be present at least 2 (two) players who are eligible to play for the national team of the club’s country or at least 1 (one) player who is eligible to play for the national team of the club’s country and 1 (one) European player who have a legal nationality of a Europe country. In such a way only 3 (three) non European players who have a legal nationality of a country outside Europe can be on the court in the same time.
The Coach is responsible for keeping this principle. If there is infraction of it, immediate substitution must be administered followed by techical foul to the Coach marked with “B” in the scoresheet and a fine shall be imposed to the team involved. If second infraction from the same team occurs, immediate substitution must be administered followed by techical foul to the Coach marked with “B” in the scoresheet and another fine shall be imposed. For discovering of single infraction after the game, a fine shall be imposed to the team involved. If there is repetition of infraction from the same team, a second fine shall be imposed.
