EUROHOLD Balkan League will consist of nine teams and will have a new competition system

9 teams will play in EUROHOLD Balkan League next season. This is due to the fact the KK Mornar (Bar, MNE) will no longer be a part of the competition. The team from Montenegro informed the league that it cannot build a competitive roster this is why the management of the league took the decision to continue with 9 teams and a new competition system. The clubs that will be a part of EUROHOLD Balkan League 2013/2014 season are: BC Balkan (Bulgaria), BC Levski (Bulgaria), BC Gilboa Galil (Israel),  KB Peja (Kosovo), KB Sigal Prishtina (Kosovo), KK Kozuv (Macedonia), KK Kumanovo 2009 (Macedonia), KK Teodo (Montenegro) and SCM U Craiova (Romania).

In the new competition system there will be a Regular season with a Round robin system, with home and away games, in which there will be 18 rounds played and 16 games for each team.

The teams that finished on 1st and 2nd place after the Regular season will qualify directly for the Final 4. Teams from 3rd to 6th position will play quarterfinals and the two winners will also advance to the Final 4. In the quarterfinals will meet the 3rd against the 6th placed team and the 4th against 5th. They will play home and away games with the 2nd being hosted by the team with better record.

In the Final 4 the team ranked 1st in the Regular season will meet the winner of the quarterfinal between 4th and 5th placed while the 2nd ranked team from the Regular season will play against the winner of the quarterfinal between the 3rd and 6th placed teams. The winners of the Semifinals will advance to the Final while the losers will play for 3rd place.

If two teams from the same country qualify for the Final Four, these teams shall play against each other in the Semi-Final.

EUROHOLD Balkan League will start on October 15th with the games KK Teodo - BC Balkan and KK Kozuv - KB Peja. On the next day will meet KK Kumanovo 2009 against KB Sigal Prishtina and the official Opening game will be held on October 17th in Craiova where the local team will host BC Levski.
