Peja and Sigal Prishtina with big wins in the first round of the league in Kosovo

Both Peja and Sigal Prishtina had big wins in the first round of the new season in Kosovo. The top two teams in the country started very well and once again showed they will be the teams to beat in the championship.
Peja played away at Bashkimi Prizren and was victorious 91-52 in front of 2 000 spectators. The visitors started well and went up 28-16 after ten minutes but at the break their lead was down to just 6 points. The games was decided in the third quarter which Peja won 26-4 and the team had no problems in the last ten minutes.
Top scorer in this game was Gerti Shima with 18 points. Mirza Ahmetbasic added 13 while Drilon Hajrizi had 10 points.
Sigal played Driat at home and won convincingly 108-56. They had a 6-point lead at the end of the first quarter and after the second it went up to 27. After the break Sigal didn′t stop to gain more advantage and it became even bigger at the final buzzer.
Tay Weller was the top player on the court with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Alban Veseli had 17 points while Fisnik Rugova added 13 and 6 rebounds.
