Domestic leagues: Kumanovo and Kozuv started well the new season

Both KK Kumanovo 2009 and KK Kozuv were victorious in the first round of the Macedonian championship. The new season started yesterday and the EUROHOLD Balkan League participants won their games.
Kumanovo had a very difficult match and won dramatically 76-75 away at Strumica. In the second quarter the visitors made an 18-0 run for six and a half minutes that allowed them to take a big lead that they held until the end of the third quarter. However the hosts tried a comeback and succeeded as with 20 seconds to go were up by 1 points. Then they fouled Nemanja Vranjes who scored his both free throws and after Strumica missed, it was Kumanovo that got the win.
Vukasin Mandic had 27 points for the win as Vranjes added 23.
Kozuv had a better day and defeated Feni Industries at home 89-71. The hosts gained a good advantage at the start and until the end had no troubles. Miladin Pekovic had 21 points for the win as Igor Mijalovic added 16 and 8 assists. Dimitar Karadzovski also scored 16 points.
