BC Galil Gilboa comes back to EUROHOLD Balkan League looking to make it three out of three. The team has played two seasons in the competition and was champion in both of them after dramatic wins over Levski. Now Galil will have a new coach in Sharon Drucker and has a lot of new players as well.On the point guard position Galil will rely on the play of Americans Adrian Banks and Gerald Robinson. They will run the team and surely will have a very important role that can determine the eventual success of the club. The two of them might also receive minutes together on the court and that will make the roster even more athletic and quick.
On the wing an improving Nimrod Tishman will once again receive chance to continue to develop and the same goes for Amit Simchon as both players showed good things last season. Stu Douglas and Tony Younger will help them and the Americans will also need to score and lead their teammates in the matches.
In the frountcourt there will be space for Rick Jackson and Drago Pasalic who will need to protect the rim and grab rebounds. They are going to be tough for every team and the head coach will rely on them a lot.
Sharon Drucker is very experienced and is about to take part for the first time in EUROHOLD Balkan League. He has had a lot of success in his career and will be hoping to bring some to Galil Gilboa as well.
Galil will start the competition on October 23th in an away game against Teodo Tivat.
