Assen Christov: We′ve made EUROHOLD Balkan League a tradition with common efforts

Today marks the beginning of the new season in EUROHOLD Balkan League. It will be 6th in a row and it starts with nine teams, changed system and again with expectations for good basketball. Here is what the Executive director of the competition - Mr. Assen Christov had to address to everybody a few hours before the new season:
Dear participants,
admirers of the basketball game,
I welcome you to the start of the sixth in a row edition of EUROHOLD Balkan League. With sincere pleasure I want to share that with common efforts we managed to make this tournament a strong tradition which makes all of us and all the fans happy.
As you all know the final of the last season was once again between the teams of Levski and Galil Gilboa and Galil did the double. The teams from Israel have always been a factor in European and World basketball and EUROHOLD Balkan League won many new fans thanks to the participation of the teams from that country. This season we hope that there will be new surprises that will add more hustle and adrenaline to the game.
In the upcoming season we′ll have 9 teams but now the system of the competition is different and instead of two groups, we′ll have a league which increases the number of matches and undoubtedly is making the intrigue even bigger. For sure we are about to see another very competitive season in which every team will have to fight from start to finish if it wants to succeed.
What I like to underline is the fact that for the first time we are going to have teams from Kosovo - a historical fact as so far the teams from that country have never participated in international competitions. We are having a team from Romania coming back after two year of absence which is also very important to the league.
All the games will be broadcast LIVE on Sportmedia.tv that from its start has turned in to a stable partner of EUROHOLD Balkan Basketball League. It′s a positiive fact also that we managed to find TV partners as well that will broadcast the matches and will help us reach to more people on the Balcans.
There is nothing left for me but to wish all the participants good luck and to the fans to enjoy more interesting and beautiful game.
Let the best team win!
Sincerely yours,
Assen Christov
