Kozuv defeated Peja after a strong third quarter

KK Kozuv (Gevgelija, MKD) defeated KB Peja (Peja, KOS) 84-79 at home in the second game of the opening day in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The hosts managed to play better at the start of the second half which helped them to win the match. For Peja it was a good debut in the competition and the team will look to do better in the next matches. In the second round Kozuv will visit Levski while Peja′s next game is on October 31th against The Blues from Sofia.
 
After an even first quarter during which the visitors led for most of the time, they started better the second and made 8-2 run. Peja continued to have the advantage until the end of the first half and at times they were up by 5 points. At the break they led by 2 but in the third quarter Kozuv managed to turn the score in their favour and took a good lead. They tied the game quickly and then made a 14-2 run that suddenly made the difference 11 points. Peja however didn′t give up and before the end of the quarter cut the deficit to just 2 couldn′t tie the score. In the last ten minutes the hosts managed to hold on to their lead as every time when Peja cut it down, Kozuv responded ana eventually won.
 
Top scorer for the winners was Dimitar Karadzovski with 18 points. Slobodan Bozovic had 17 and 8 rebounds while Miladin Pekovic scored 16 points.
 
For the visitors with 20 points finished Fred House. George Odufuwa added 15 and 8 rebounds and Vedran Morovic had 13 points.
