Kumanovo 2009 defeated Peja at home

KK Kumanovo 2009 (Kumanovo, MKD) had its second straight home victory in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team hosted KB Peja (Peja, KOS) and won 93-85. This now puts the team at 2-1 record while Peja is the only team without a win with 0-3. Next week Kumanovo will host BC Balkan while Peja will welcome SCM U Craiova.

The first half was very even as none of the teams could pull away. At time the visitors were up by 3-4 points and at times the hosts led by 4-5. Kumanovo managed to built a big lead in the middle of the third quarter as the team made a 9-0 run to go up by 10. Later with 7 unanswered points the advantage became 13 points but still until the end of the third quarter Peja cut it down to 7. The visitors didn′t give up and with an 8-0 run closed the gap to just a single points. Kumanovo though didn′t allow them to tie the score or take the lead but  Peja was in the game. With 01.30 to play the margin once again was just 1 point but the hosts scored the next 6 and this proved to be decisive.

Ivan Miskovic was the top scorer for the winners with 24 points as Vukasin Mandic had 20.

For the visitors Vedran Morovic scored 20 points and Drilon Hajrizi finished with 19.
