Third win for Kozuv after surviving a scare at the end

KK Kozuv recorded its third win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team hosted SCM U Craiova in Gevgelija and won 84-78. The hosts led from start to finish, at times with more than 20 points but at the end the visitors had a chance to at least sent the game to overtime. With this Kozuv now has a 3-1 record while the Romanian team is with 2-2. Next week Kozuv will visit KK Teodo in Tivat while Craova′s next match is on November 28th away at Balkan.
Kozuv took control of the game in the first quarter when a 6-0 run made the score 10-3. Later after another run, this time of 10-2, the margin became 12 points and it stayed like this at the end of the quarter. Then in the second Kozuv was hanging on to its advantage and at the start of the second half they made a 12-1 run and went up by 22 points. The hosts were hanging on to their lead but the last quarter started with a 7-0 run for the visitors which cut their deficit down to 10 points. However Kozuv responded with 5 straight but still Craiova didn′t give up. With two minutes to go they came down to just 4 points deficit and missed a shot to cut it even more. Still with a triple by Rade Dzambic the visitors closed to gap to two points and Le Var Seals missed a shot to tie the score. Austin Dufault responded with two made free throws but Dzambic once again scored for the visitors. Then Karadozvki made one free throw for Kozuv, Dzambic missed both times for Craiova and then Kozuv sealed off the game.
Igor Mijalovic was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points as 12 apiece had Vladimir Filipovic and Austin Dufault.
Sasha Topchov had 16 points for the visitors as Rade Dzambic added 15 and 5 assists.
