A great shooting night gave Levski the win against Galil Gilboa

In a repeat of the final of the last two seasons in EUROHOLD Balkan League BC Galil Gilboa hosted BC Levski in Gan Ner. The game was once again very interesting and the visitors from Bulgaria came out on top winning 82-73. They had a great shooting night making 15 of 25 triples and it proved to be enough for the victory. It puts Levski now with 3 wins and 2 losses while Galil stands at 2-1 as this was the team′s first defeat in the competition. Next week the current champions will visit KK Kumanovo 2009 while Levski′s next match is on December 5th at home against SCM U Craiova.

In the first quarter both teams exchanged leads as at the end of it the hosts were up by 4 points. The interesting fact was that all 18 points of Levski came after three-pointers. In the second quarter at one point Galil led 26-20 but then Levski made an amazing run after which the team never gave up its advantage. The Blues made a 20-1 run that suddenly game them a double digit lead that was cut down to 8 at the end of the half.

With three and a half minutes played in the third quarter the lead of Levski once again became 10 points. From then on until the end of it The Blues′s advantage never came to single digits as after 30 minutes it was 11. Then the last quarter started with two triples for Levski to make the lead 17 points but the hosts still managed to cut the deficit to 8. Then with a minute to go Pavel Ivanov scored a triple and the game was over.

Pavel Ivanov was great tonight and made all of his six three-point attempts to finish with 27 points. Lionel Chalmers had 18 points and Jumaine Jones added 13 and 9 rebounds.

For the home team DeShawn Sims scored 16 points while Stu Douglas added 14.
