First win for KB Peja in EUROHOLD Balkan League

KB Peja recorded its first win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team started its debut season in the competition with four straight defeats but tonight managed to overcome SCM U Craiova at home and won 80-65. This put Peja with a 1-4 record while the Romanians stand now at 2-4. Craiova will play once again in two days as they meet the other team from Kosovo - Sigal Prishtina on Thursday.
 
Peja won the first three quarter which proved to be more than enough for the win as the team build its advantage steadily. First with a 10-2 run in the first quarter they went on to a 10-point advantage and then in the second with a 16-4 run the lead went up to 19 points. From that point on Peja controlled the match and cruised on to take the victory.
 
The difference between the two teams was the three-point shooting. The players of Peja made 11 out of 22 attempted triples while Craiova was just 4 of 23.
 
Samir Saptahovic was the top scorer for the winners with 24 points. Fred House had 18 and 6 rebounds as Drilon Hajrizi scoreed 15 points.
 
Travis Bureau had 19 points for the visitors while Bogdan Popescu scored 13.
