Levski stopped Kumanovo′s run of five straight wins

BC Levski defeated the leaders in EUROHOLD Balkan League - KK Kumanovo 2009, 88-82 at home, in the first game of the week. This stopped the visitors run of five straight victories and also put them on two defeats so far. Levski led for most of the time but Kumanovo was close and even had some chance to try and get the victory. The Macedonian now stand at 5-2 record while Levski is with 4-2 and has played one game less.Levski pulled away a few times in the first half but almost every time Kumanovo bounced back. However the hosts made an 8-0 run shortly before the break and took a 9-point lead. The run was stopped but then Lionel Chalmers scored a triple to put Levski ahead by 10 points after 20 minutes of play.
With four minutes played in the third quarter Levski was up by 10 points. Then though the visitors responded with a 14-2 run capped by Royce Parran′s made shot and they took the lead. Then both teams started exchanging baskets and in the middle of the last quarter the score was toed at 75 points. What followed was a 7-1 run for the home team after which Kumanovo couldn′t come back again.
Top scorer for the winners was Lionel Chalmers with 21 points while Pavel Ivanov had 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
For the visitors Uros Lukovic had 23 points and 14 rebounds as Royce Parran finished with 15 points and 8 assits.
