Balkan defeated Levski in a dramatic last game for 2013

The last game for 2013 in EUROHOLD Balkan League was like the most during the last twelve months - a drama until the end. In it BC Balkan defeated BC Levski 68-64 at home in the Bulgarian derby of the competition. Both teams played an interesting match that was decided in the final minute. After this match Balkan has 3 wins and 3 losses while Levski has 4-3 record.
 
The visitors started better and scored the first 6 points. They led for almost the entire first quarter but at the end of it Balkan took over. Then both teams exchanged baskets before the hosts managed to take a 10-point lead in the third quarter. Levski cut the deficit but in the fourth the hosts pulled up by 11 points. The visitors responded on an 8-0 run and later with 58 seconds to play they were down by just 1. With 17 seconds to go Pavel Marinov scored one free throw to give Balkan a 2-point lead and Levski had a chance to tie the game. Lionel Chalmers throwed a bad pаss and Ivan Lilov received the ball to score the last basket of the game. 
 
Pavel Marinov and Noah Dahlman had 18 points apiece as both played grabbed 9 rebounds. Ivan Lilov added 16 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
 
For the visitors Jumaine Jones had a double double with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Hristo Zahariev scored 15 points while Lionel Chalmers had 14.
