Domestic leagues: Balkan defeated Levski away

Balkan won the battle between the two Bulgarian teams in EUROHOLD Balkan League. They defeated Levski 83-75 away in the last round of the year in the local league and will start 2014 in a good mood.    It was an even game in the first quarter but in the second Levski took a 10-point lead. Until the break Balkan cut the deficit and then the team started the second half with 8 straight points to take the lead. Then the teams started to exchanged baskets before a 12-0 run in the last quarter decided the match for the visitors.   Noah Dahlman had 26 points and 11 rebounds for the win as Ivan Lilov added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.   For the hosts Lionel Chalmers finished with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Hristo Zahariev scored 14 points.
