Weekly preview: Four interesting games expecting us
21-01-2014 | 11:49
This week′s action in EUROHOLD Balkan League will offer us two games on Tuesday and two games on Wednesday. Both days are expected to be very tense and should give us once again a lot of entertainment on the field.
First in Sofia Levski will host SCM U Craiova. Both teams are coming from wins in their last week′s matches so they will try to repeat that. Levski will rely on Hristo Zahariev and Pavel Ivanov who played very well in the win against Sigal Prishtina, On the other hand James Tyler made an impressive performance during Craiova′s victory over KK Kumanovo 2009 and alongside him are Nemanja Maric, LeVar Seals and Bogdan Popescu who will look to make life of the hosts very difficult. The second game for today sees KB Peja against KK Kozuv. This is an important outing for both squads as they continue their fight for Top 6. Right now Kozuv is occupying this position and Peja is right behind them so this means that we should see an interesting battle. Peja will once again count on Samir Shaptahovic, Fred House and Drilon Hajrizi while Kozuv has a lot of experience in Igor Mijalovic, Slobodan Bozovic, Dimitar Karadjovski and Miladin Pekovic. On Wednesday Sigal Prishtina welcomes Kumanovo 2009 in another thigh affair for the top position in the league. Sigal is coming off an overtime defeat at the hands of Levski last week while Kumanovo was beaten by SCM U Craiova. The hosts need the scoring of Kendrick Jones, Tay Waller and Dardan Berisha while on the other side the visitors will counter with Royce Parran, Vukasin Mandic and Uros Lukovic. The last game of the week sees Galil Gilboa at home against Balkan. The hosts are the only team with just two defeats in the competition and for now look as the favourite to take the first place. DeShawn Sims is proving to be an excellent scorer for the team and with Kenny Boynton and Gerald Robinson will push the ball. Balkan will try to answer with Ivan Lilov, Stanimir Marinov and Pavel Marinov as the team will look to use its deadly three-point shooting.
