Sigal Prishtina with big home win over Kumanovo

KB Sigal Prishtina recorded a big and very important home win in the battle for the top places in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team hosted KK Kumanovo 2009 and won convincingly 75-60. Sigal started very good and led the game from start to finish for the delight of its home fans that once again filled the gym. After this game Sigal now has 6 wins and 3 defeats before its visit to Balkan next week. Kumanovo on the other side lost for second time in a row and is now with a 6-4 record.
Sigal got off to a great start and took a 9-2 lead. Kumanovo scored the next 2 points but the hosts folowed with 7 in a row to move up to 12- point lead. In the second quarter the home team continued to have the double digit advantage as they didn′t allow Kumanovo to come close to them. With the score at 34-22 Sigal made a 9-0 run to increased the lead to 21 points but then Nemanja Vranjes answered with one of his own for the visitors to finish the half. The game was decided in the third quarter when Sigal continued with its great defense. The team increased its lead to 30 points and practically killed all hopes of its opponent. In the last ten minutes the players of Sigal knew that they had already won and didn′t play as before that so Kumanovo could cut a lot of its deficit.
Kendrick Jones was the top performer for the winners with his 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Blerim Mazreku added 13 points.
For the visitors 13 points apiece had Vukasin Mandic and Royce Parran.
