SCM U Craiova back to the winning way

SCM U Craiova is back to winning ways in EUROHOLD Balkan League after downing KK Kozuv 72-61 at home. With this victory the Romanian team now has a 5-7 record while the Macedonians suffered their 6th straight defeat and are at 4-7. Craiova made a good second quarter when they pulled away and until the end controlled the match. Kozuv′s next game is against Balkan in two days time while Craiova is hosting Peja next week.
 
It was an even first quarter as Kozuv led early but at the end of it the hosts were up. Then they started the second on a 6-0 run and moved up by 8 points. Until the end of the first half the home team had a good advantage and after 20 minutes it was 11 points. 
 
The hosts held to their double digit lead throughout the whole third quarter and until the final two minutes of the game. Then Kozuv cut the deficit to 8 points but the visitors never had a real chance of coming back to the game.
 
Craiova won the rebounding battle - 48 to 23, as the visitors attempted a total of 29 three-pointers and made only 8 compared to 9/18 three-points shooting from the hosts.
 
Mirko Kovac was the top scorer for the winners with 22 points as Travis Bureau scored 16.
 
For the visitors Slaven Cupkovic was the only player in double figures with 24 points.
