Domestic cups: Levski won the trophy in a dramatic final

Levski is the new winner of the Cup of Bulgaria after downing Cherno more 100-97 in the final. The Blues led from start to finish but at the end there were some dramatic moments. However they survived and lifted first trophy since 2010.   Levski started well and led 10-2 and 13-4 but soon Cherno more was back in the game. With a triple from the center court by Brandon Heath Levski led by 7 points at the break and a few times by 9 in the second half. The opponents though didn′t give up and were in the game. With two minutes left The Blues went up by 7 points but the team from Varna came close. With 2.1 seconds to play Levski went up by 3 points and then Hristo Zahariev blocked Asen Velikov′s three-point attempt and the game was over.   Brandon Heath finished with 31 points for the winners while Lionel Chalmers added 27.     Balkan finished fourth in the tournament after losing to Rilski Sportist 90-96 in the game for third place.
