KB Sigal Prishtina won the derby of Kosovo

KB Sigal Prishtina recorded a very important away win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team visited its Kosovo rivals from KB Peja and defeated them 80-65 after a hard fought game. Sigal pulled away in the second quarter and led until the end of the game. With this result the team from Prishtina joined Levski on the top position with 8 wins and 5 losses while Peja is now at 6-7. Next week Sigal will host KK Kozuv while Peja will visit KK Teodo.
 
Peja started well and took a 6-1 lead but Sigal responded with the next 11 points to move ahead and had the advantage after one quarter. Then the team started the second on a 5-0 run to built the lead to 8 points and in the middle of it, it was 12. In the next minutes Sigal controlled the lead and after scoring the last 5 points of the first half their advantage was 13. 
 
After two and a half minutes played in the third quarter the visitors′s lead was 10 points and then they scored the next 7 to move up even further. Soon they led by 21 points but a 12-1 run for Peja gave them some hope. Sigal though scored the last 5 of the third quarter and in the last controlled the game to take the victory.
 
Great game for the winners had Dardan Berisha who finished with 31 points. Tay Waller had 16 coming off the bench as Edmond Azemi finished with 15 points.
 
Samir Shaptahovic had 19 points and 5 assists for the hosts as Teo Simovic added 15 points and 7 rebounds.
