Sigal Prishtina won a great game with Kozuv and is tied for the second place

KB Sigal Prishtina recorded another home win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team hosted KK Kozuv and took the victory by a score of 68-58 after a very entertaining game. It had everything including big runs and a lot of lead changes but in the decisive minutes the hosts managed to get the victory. It secures them at least a spot in the Top 6 but of course the battle will be for one of the first two positions. They are tied with Levski for the second place with 9 wins and 5 defeats and in the last round those teams will meet in Prishtina to decide one of the direct spots for the Final 4. Kozuv on the other side recorded its ninth straight defeat and is holding to the last place. However the players fought hard and tried to win the game but at the end couldn′t do it. In the last round they will host Kumanovo 2009 in the Macedonian derby.
 
It was a tough start for both teams as they could hardly score. The hosts especially didn′t get almost nothing in the first few minutes and Kozuv was leading by 5 points for a long time. Sigal came back but still after ten minutes the visitors were up. In the second quarter the hosts went up but with a 6-0 run the visitors managed to once again take a 5-point advantage. However the last two points of the first half were for Sigal and the hosts were down by three at the break.
 
Shortly after the start of the third quarter Kozuv managed to take a 7-point advantage, the biggest so far. At that point Sigal scored a few points and then a triple by Anthony Waller tied the score. That woke up the fans as well and the hosts made a total of 16-0 run that put them ahead by 9 points. However the visitors responded well to the challenge and managed to cut their deficit to 4 points at the end of the third quarter. 
 
Kozuv started excellent the fourth quarter and after scoring 8 straight points took the lead. Sigal though answered even better and scored the next 12 points which put them up by 8. That was the decisive moment as until the end the hosts kept the advantage.
 
Dardan Berisha was the top scorer for the winners with 25 points as he grabbed also 7 rebounds. Aurimas Kieza added 12 and 6 as Anthony Waller had 8 points.
 
For the visitors Miladin Pekovic finished with 15 points while 12 and 7 rebounds had Slaven Cupkovic.
