BC Balkan took advantage after away win in the first leg over KK Teodo

BC Balkan is now ahead in the quarterfinal series against KK Teodo. The team from Botevgrad won away 75-71 the first leg and took the lead before the second next week. Balkan will host it in its new gym and the overall winner will qualify for its first Final 4 in EUROHOLD Balkan League.
Balkan started great the game and took an early 9-2 lead. After that the team continued to have the lead and with a minute played in the second quarter it was 9 points. Then in less then two minutes Balkan scored four three-pointers and suddenly their lead went up to 21 points. They controlled the game in the next few minutes and at the halftime break were up by 16.
The hosts started the second half on a 7-0 run and cut their deficit. Quickly though Balkan restored their double digit advantage and after an even quarter the difference remained the same at 16 points. A 7-2 start to the last one cut the deficit to 11 points. However the visitors continued to have a good lead and with more than two minutes led by 12. In those last two though the hosts finished with 8 straight points to cut their deficit to just 4 and left themselves chances for the second leg.
Balkan scored a total of 11 triples out of 27 attempts while Teodo were 3 of 15.
Ivan Lilov was the top scorer for the winners with 27 points making 7 out of 10 triples. Noah Dahlman had 15 points while Pavel Marinov added 8, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Another great game for the hosts had Savo Djikanovic who finished with 29 points and 13 rebounds. Nikola Vucurovic scored 13 points.
