Quarterfinal 2 preview: Balkan with 4-point lead before the second game with Teodo
09-04-2014 | 08:44
Tonight we’ll know all four participants in the Final 4 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. Either Balkan or Teodo will join Galil Gilboa, Sigal Prishtina and Levski - teams already qualified for the finals of the competition. Balkan hosts Teodo tonight at 20.45 local time and holds a 4-point lead after the first match in Montenegro last week.
7 days ago the team from Botevgrad led from start to finish but at the end had difficult minutes and let Teodo come back and cut its deficit and leave some chances for the return game.
The match will be played in the new Arena Botevgrad and it will be the first in this gym in EUROHOLD Balkan League.
Balkan will continue to rely on the three-point shooting which was proved one week ago and also three days ago when in the new gym the team defeated Yambol making 18 triples. Ivan Lilov and Pavel Marinov continue to be in good form and the likes of Noah Dahlman, Peter Sedmak and Logan Stutz will work under the basket. Balkan has a very good chance of reaching the Final 4 and the team will have to protect its lead.
Teodo is coming to the game having nothing to lose. However the players will surely fight to get the victory and will give their best to do so. Of course the veteran Savo Djikanovic is the leader of this squad and this time he is going to need help from Nikola Vucurovic and Nikola Korac. However the key to eventual success of Teodo is to stop the three-point shooting of Balkan. If they succeed to do so, they will have a chance to steal the win tonight.News
