KK Teodo lost to Balkan in the quarterfinals of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Montenegro fought hard in the second match but couldn’t overcome its deficit from the first one. Here is what the head coach Miodrag Kadija had to say after the defeat:
“I think that we played much better that in the first game. We managed to cut down the scoring of Balkan to just 66 points which happens rarely. We chased our goal well during the game but at the end we shot badly from three-point range and I think that decided the outcome. From the other side though Balkan’s win is deserved. I wish them to host the Final 4 and to win the trophy.
At the start of the season both teams were in the last positions of the standings but after that we made good runs and played in the quarterfinals. We are really happy with those six straight wins that put is in the Top 6 and I congratulate the players and the management about what we did so far.
I think Teodo deserves to play in the next edition of EUROHOLD Balkan League. This though is a question for our board. However I’m convinced that if Teodo is in the league next season, the team will achieve the same good results as now.”
