Season preview: KK Kumanovo 2009
10-10-2014 | 14:07
KK Kumanovo 2009 is entering the season with a bigger budget and a new board. The team did well in its first two participations in EUROHOLD Balkan League reaching first the Final 4 and then last season advancing to the quarterfinals.

Kumanovo is starting the season with a new coach - Igor Mihajlovski. He is a local guy and for sure will have the support from the p?ssionate fans of the team.

Perhaps the most important news of the summer is the return of Aleksandar Kostoski. He was the hero back in 2012/2013 debuting season in EUROHOLD BIBL and he will once again play for Kumanovo. His scoring ability is well known and if he gets back to his best than this team will be very tough to beat. Of course Vukasin Mandic is also back and his scoring also should help a lot. Radoje Vujosevic and Tyler Hines are two new players under the basket on whom everybody will count a lot. They will need not only to collect rebounds and protect the rim, but also to score and try to fill the gap following Uros Lukovic′s departure.

Kumanovo signed also young Serbian shooting guard Sasa Avramovic and local Djaner Osman who should fight for minutes and try to improve. The same goes for the Russian Georgii Egorov who was on try out and probed he has the abilities to be signed.

Aleksandar Shterjov and Marjan Janeski will help under the basket and their experience play will be very important in the battles. Point guard Marjan Mladenovikj is also back and he can be very helpful in defense for short stints. There are also a few young players in the roster and they will try to make impression and receive minutes on the court.

Generally Kumanovo 2009 is expected to have a strong team and fight for the top positions. The first game of the team is away at KB Peja and it can give answers to a lot of questions.
