Sigal Prishtina took a 4-point lead after away win in Craiova

KB Sigal Prishtina made a very important step towards reaching the semifinal in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team won the first game against SCM U Craiova 77-73 away and will return back home with a 4-point advantage. Sigal led from the start of the second quarter until the end of the game and even had a chance to have a bigger advantage. The hosts however didn′t give up and cut the deficit to leave themselves hope for the second game. It will take place in Prishtina on March 25th.

It was an even first quarter with both teams exchanging baskets with none being able to take some lead. However shortly after the start of the second Sigal managed to hit first. The visitors went on a 7-2 run to go up by 5 points and in the middle of it the lead went to 9. Craiova tried to cut the deficit and got it down to 4 but at the break the difference was 7 points in favour of the visiting team.

With three minutes played in the third quarter the visitors lead went to 10 points for the first time. Sigal was hanging to its advantage in the next minutes as Craiova was trying to get as close as possible. The hosts did cut it down to just 5 points and in that important moment Jordan Hulls took over. He scored the last 7 points of the quarter for his team, including a triple with few seconds to go, and the lead went back to 10 points before the final ten minutes.

The margin in the fourth quarter went as high as 13 points but Craiova didn′t give up. The hosts continued to fight and after 6-0 run the deficit went down to 4 points with 1.58 to go. Then Hulls once again hit an imporant basket and after him Trajkovski as well so it made the visitors life easier. Still the home team scored the last 4 points of the game and left themselve a chance for the return match in Prishtina.

The visitors made 10 three-pointers from 19 attempts which compared Craiova′s 5 from 18, proved to be a big difference.

Playing without Dardan Berisha, Sigal needed someone to step up and that was Jordan Hulls. The American finished with four triples on his way to 28 points as Julian Mavunga and Bojan Trajkovski had 13 apiece.

For the home side Travis Bureau had 19 points and 9 rebounds while Milivoje Bozovic had 17 and 10.
