Domestic leagues: Rilski Sportist tied the semifinal

BC Rilski Sportist tied the semifinal series in Bulgarian championship against Balkan. The team from Samokov won Game 2 77-72 away and now is heading home with the chance to qualify for the final.

Rilski started well and took the early lead. They had the advantage until the third quarter when Balkan tied and the hosts went up for the first time with 3 minutes to play. Then both teams exchanged baskets and with 30 to play the home team led by 1. Gugino then scored three out of four free throws to put Rilski up and after Rakocevic made a block, the game was decided.

Tony Gugino had 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners while 15 points apiece added Zarko Rakocevic and Vernon Taylor.
