Group A opens up with big clash in Gevgelija

KK Kozuv and KK Mornar are starting the season in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League with big hopes. Kozuv reached the semifinals last season and will try to improve that while Mornar went out in the Second Stage and will also try to do better. Both teams meet today in Gevgelija and we are expecting a big game from them. The first match in Group A starts at 19.00 CET and will be LIVE on Sportmedia.tv.
 
Kozuv made some changes to its roster and is a different team from last season. However players like Aleksej Nesovic and Vladimir Brckov were kept in the team and in recent days Ratko Varda was added as well. He has a lot of experience, is a very good players and will undoubtedly have a big contrubution. The American Brandon Penn has also shown promise and it remains to be seen how much he can deliver.
 
Mornar on the other side is going to play hard and it relies on a lot of local players. The team from Bar has the American point guard Austin Chatman who is going to share minutes with Marko Mijovic who has has some big games in BIBL. We have also players like Milija Mikovic who is relatevily young but already showing some skills and also Miroslav Damjanovic who missed some of last season due to injury. There is also enough experience in the roster with players like Balsa Radunovic and Marko Calic so it seems that Mornar is a well balanced team at the start of the season.
