Convincing start for Teodo

KK Teodo started well the new season in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Tivat visited KK Lovcen in Montenegrin derby and played much better to take a convincing 78-55 win. There were some ups and downs from both sides in the first half but the visitors finished better and after a good start of the second one secured the victory. In the next round of group B Teodo will host Bashkimi while Lovcen will visit Levski 2014 in Sofia.
 
It was an even game in the first six minutes as the score was tied. In the next two though Teodo made a 10-0 run to take a good lead which stayed after ten minutes. In the second quarter Lovcen improved its performance and even managed to cut the deficit to 3 points but Teodo answered once again. They went up by 11 only for Lovcen to close the gap to 4 a bit later. The visitors however finished the half on a high with 7-0 run and had 11 points advantage at the break.
 
A 13-2 start of the second half gave Teodo a 21-point lead shortly before the middle of the third quarter. This was more than enough for the visitors as they cruised on to take the win.
 
Teodo had a good shooting night from long range as they scored 10 triples from 29 attempts. Lovcen on the other side had only 4 successful shots from 15 attempted.
 
Masan Vrbica was the top performer for the winners with 16 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Manuel Johnson also played well with 15 points and 9 rebounds while Milos Djurisic had 13 points.
 
Petar Jovanovic and Sreten Knezevic had 14 points apiece for the home side as Ratko Petric added 10.
