A convincing start for Levski 2014

Levski 2014 started with a big win in group B in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Blues hosted KK Lovcen in Sofia and had a convincing 99-72 victory. Next week Levski will host KB Bashkimi while Lovcen will do the same on November 10th.
It was an even game during the first quarter as both teams exchanged leads. None of them could take a big lead so Levski had only 2 points advantage after ten minutes. In the second quarter though things changed as shortly after it started the hosts made a 13-2 run which put them ahead by 14. Lovcen managed to score but then Levski responded with another 12 straight points and had a big lead at the break. This was more than ehough for The Blues as in the second half the difference didn′t go down under 20 points and it even reached 30 at one moment.
Levski 2014 had twice the assits the visitors had - 28 to 14 and also had 6 turnovers less. The Blues were dominant in points off turnovers as they had 29 to 8 edge and it showed off on the scoreboard.
The captain Pavel Ivanov was the top scorer for the winners with 31 points. Aleksandar Yanev played very well with 26 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds as Aleks Simeonov added 22 points and 7 rebounds.
For the visitors the best on the court was Petar Jovanovic with 28 points and 5 assists as Ratko Petric scored 12 points.
