Sigal Prishtina welcomed back Berisha with big win

KB Sigal Prishtina recorded second straight win in group A of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The champions of the competition hosted KK Kozuv and won 88-60 after a great second half in the return of Dardan Berisha. In the first the hosts twice couldn′t hold on to their advantage but after the break build a big enough and handed Kozuv a second straight loss. Sigal′s next match in the competition is at home against Mornar on November 19th while Kozuv will host Beroe on November 10th.   It was a great start for Sigal as they scored the first ten points of the game. Kozuv though started to play better and by the end of the first quarter managed to take the lead. It ended with a single point advantage for them but the start of the second was like the start of the match. This time though Sigal scored 14 straight points to go up by 13 but the visitors again responded. They answered with 16-3 and once again tied the score. Sigal however had the last 5 points in the first half and went to the locker rooms leading.    With little over a minute played in the third quarter the difference was down to just 3 points. Sigal once again managed to make another great run - this time of 17 straight points and their lead went up to 20. This time the hosts didn′t allow Kozuv to come back and cruised on to take the victory.   The home side scored 11 triples on 24 attempts compared to only 3 from 19 for the visitors which proved to be the biggest difference.   Stanimir Marinov was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points. Alhaji Mohammed had 14 while Dardan Berisha returned in style with four triples in the first half and 12 points in total.   The top performer for the visiting team was Brandon Penn with 25 points and 5 rebounds while Ratko Varda had 10 points.
