Two in a row for Levski 2014

BC Levski 2014 recorded its second win in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Sofia team hosted KB Bashkimi and won 77-60 after taking the lead at the end of the first quarter and never giving it up after that. With this result Levski is now tied with Teodo with 2-0 record at the top of the group while Bashkimi stands at 1-2 and is third. In the next round Levski will visit KB Peja while Bashkimi will travel to play KK Lovcen.
 
It was a difficult start for both teams as they were cold in the first minutes. This is the reason also why the game was even and no one could take a big lead. That happenned in the second quarter when Levski pulled away and managed to keep the advantage. Then the hosts made a 12-2 run to go up by 13 and at the break the difference was 11.
 
The second half started on a 5-0 run for the home team to go up by 16. After that they continued to hold on to their advantage and were controlling the difference. Aleks Simeonov had good moments by scoring 7 straight points and keeping the distance between the teams as the hosts had an answer to each Bashkimi attempt. Until the end of the match the margin didn′t go down and the hosts finished off their opponent.
 
Levski had 7 triples compared to not a single one from the visitors which proved to be the biggest difference.
 
Aleksandar Yanev and Aleks Simeonov had 15 points apiece for the winners as they had also 11 and 7 rebounds respectively. Tyler Laser had 13 points and 7 rebounds.
 
For the visitors Theron Bussey had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists while Gerti Shima added 16 points and 7 rebounds. The visitors had three key players missing - two due to injuries and Efthymios Tsakaleris who left the team due to personal reasons.
