KK Karpos Sokoli 2000 recorded its first win of the season in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. It was a very hard one after a big battle with SK Tirana. Here are some quotes after the game was over:
Dragan Nikolic, head coach of KK Karpos Sokoli 2000: "There were some good, some bad and some questionable things in our performance, despite the win at the end. The defense was aggressive, but we have problems with some other things that come from the fact that we don′t know each other very well yet. But I′m pleased with the win, and we will keep practicing hard to make better decisions during the next games. We won and I′m happy for that."
Filip Bakoch, player of KK Karpos Sokoli 2000: "First half of this game was the best for us this season. In the first two quarters we were aggressive, fast and played great defense. But, after the halftime we let the opponent to score some easy points in transition, which could be very bad for us. However we pulled out our last strengths and won at the end. There is a new positive energy from the new coach and I think that this is just the beginning of better days for us."
Slobodan Petrovski, head coach of SK Tirana: "We had bad start to the game. The fact that we received 33 points in the first quarter was decisive for our loss at the end. After we played better, we were equal opponent in the rest of the game, but the little things were crucial for Karpos Sokoli′s win. We had three injured players, and I hope that we will play better in the next games."
Gerti Shima, player of SK Tirana: „Karpos Sokoli played very good game, especially in the first half and absolutely deserved to win at the end. We missed couple of guys who are injured. This was my first game here after coming from Sigal Prishtina, after just couple of practices. Playing in BIBL is great experience for SK Tirana and I hope that we will do better in next games."
