KB Peja recorded a very important away win tonight. The team visited KK Sutjeska in a group B match and dominated late to take a big 86-67 victory. The visitors led from start to finish and at the end managed to build a big lead. With that result the team now has 4-2 record and is in a very good position for the Second Stage. Sutjeska stands at 5-3 and is first having already secured its position forward. Next week Peja will visit Feni Industries in the last game of 2016.

Peja got off to a great start and led 11-2 in less than four minutes. Then the hosts managed to close the gap to just 3 but still the visitors kept their advantage and were up by 6 after ten minutes. In the second period Peja increased the advantage to double digits and in four minutes it reached 14 points. After that the visitors controlled the score and led by 10 at the break.

Peja kept leading in the second half but the hosts stayed close. They even cut the deficit to just two points but after that the visitors answered to be up by 8 after 30 minutes. A 7-1 run shortly after the fourth quarter started gave Peja a 14-point advantage which was more than enough. The visitors controlled the score afterwards and took a very important victory.

The main reason behind Peja′s win was the team′s three-point shooting. The visitors hit 12 triples from 24 attempts as Sutjeska had only 3 of 16.

The top scorer for the winners was Alban Veseli with 19 points while also dishing out 5 assists. Jamie Billie had a good game with 14 points and 9 rebounds as Cameron Rundles had 12 points.
