Big home win for Kozuv ofer Feni
KK Kozuv started very well the Second Stage in SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League. In a group C game the Gevgelija team defeated the fellow Macedonian side MKK Feni Industries 86-73. The home side won the first three quarters which proved to be enough. With that result now we have three teams with 1-2 record in the group while Beroe is well ahead with a 3-0. Next week Kozuv will visit Sutjeska while Feni will host Beroe.
The teams exchanged points early with the visitors mostly leading. Near the end of the first quarter Kozuv took over and a 12-2 start gave the team a 14-point edge. Feni responded well to close the gap to just 5 and then to 3 but the hosts held on. They managed to stay in front and at the break were up by 8 points.
The home side started very good the second half and by making a 13-2 run in the first five minutes took a 19-point advantage. The team held the good lead in the third quarter which finished with 17 points difference as then in the last ten minutes Kozuv controlled the score.
Kenyon McNeail was the top performer for the winners with 25 points and 8 assists. Larry Hall also did well with 16 and 6 while Bojan Krstevski had 14 points and 6 rebounds.
Kiril Nikolovski came back after injury to finish with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds for Feni. Branislav Djekic added 14 and 7 while Andrej Magdevski scored 11 points.
