Domestic leagues: Tirana celebrates title in Albania

SK Tirana claimed the Albanian League title. The SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League participant in Season 2016/2017 beat Vllaznia 87:80 in Game 3 of the championship series to complete the sweep.

SK Tirana sank 26 points in the opening frame to gain an 11-point lead. Vllaznia cut the distance in the second term. They pulled within two points at halftime 39:37. Tirana poured in 26 points in the third term to open a 7-point lead, and then dropped 22 points in the fourth quarter to ice the victory.

Gerti Shima tallied 26 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the champions. Endrit Hysenagolli accounted for 21 points, while Griffin Ramme and Manuel Johnson added 13 points each in the win. Algert Gjonaj responded with 18 points and 10 boards for Vllaznia. Chris Oliver netted 17 points in the loss.
