Domestic leagues: Beroe lost Game 2 of Bulgarian quarterfinals
The SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League champion for Season 2016/2017
BC Beroe lost Game 2 of the quarterfinal playoff series in Bulgaria, 92-93, to
Spartak Pleven. The team of head coach Lubomir Minchev will meet its opponent
on 5 May at home and will try to advance into the semifinal stage of the domestic
league.
Beroe outrebounded Spartak Pleven 45-25 including 19 on the
offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance
shots on high 53.1 percentage. Spartak Pleven looked well-organized offensively
handing out 29 assists.
American forward Aaron Jones produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Brandis Raley-Ross added 19 points and 8 assists respectively for the SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League champion.
