Domestic leagues: Two more wins for Barsy
BC Barsy Atyrau recorded another two wins in Kazakhstan league. They came at the expense of local rival ASU Barsy Atyrau as the team dominated on both clashes.
Barsy won the first game 110-72. There was never a doubt in the final outcome as the players of coach Vrjina really showed who is the better team. They led by 19 points after just one quarter, then won also the othre three for a big win.
Pavel Ilyin was by far the top performer for the winners with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bojan Bakich and Dmitriy Klimov also did well as they added 18 points apiece.
The second game was pretty much the same as Barsy won it 100-73. The difference this time was the moment when the team stepped up and managed to build a big lead. After the first half it was just 10 points but with a monster third quarter it reached 30 and there was no comeback for the opponent.
Dmitriy Klimov was the top scorer with 17 points. Vladimir Ivanov did very well and finished with 16 and 11 rebounds while Bojan Bakich had 14 points.
After six games Barsy has 4 wins and 2 defeats and is second in the standings behind champions Astana.
