Three straight for Blokotehna
KK Blokotehna finished 2018 with third straight victory in the Balkan League. The Gevgelija team hosted KB Bashkimi and won 96-70 after starting very well the game. After taking a double-digit lead in the first quarter the home side controlled the difference and cruised on to take the victory and stay unbeaten. Bashkimi also finished 2018 with this match as the team has 1-5 record in the competition.
In the first four minutes the game was close and the difference was just 4 points. Then Blokotehna started pushing and as the team finished the period with a 17-8 run the team pulled away by 13. From that moment on the hosts controlled the difference and was increasing it steadily. After a good third quarter the lead went up to 29 and there was nothing more the visitors could do.
Povilas Gaidys had his BIBL game finishing with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Goran Glavchev and Danilo Mijatovic also did well by scoring 20 points apiece.
The visitors were led by Jordan Capps who had game-high 31 points. Steven Haney had double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Ujkan Karanezi had 10 and 9.
