Asen Nikolov: It was a difficult game for us

Academic Bultex 99 is through to the Final Four after securing its place there with the win over Barsy Atyrau. Here is what the head coach Asen Nikolov said following the match:

"It was a difficult game for us. Already in the beginning it was visible that we weren′t fresh enough which for me is because of the game we had on Saturday. We weren′t aggressive in defense and we allowed them to score 30 points in the second quarter. After the break fresher players came in to the game, we started playing more aggressively and limited the opponent to just 26 points. We′ll fight for second or third place in the regular season in the Balkan League."

Mladen Vitkovic had 11 points for the win and had this to say following the match:

"We played slow in the first half but in the second we improved our defense and protected well the basket. We also improved our transition. There was some fatigue after the game on Saturday which was hard for us."
