Two good quarters are enough for Hapoel Gilboa Galil to defeat Beroe

Hapoel Gilboa Galil won its first game of the Second Stage of Delasport Balkan League. In a Group H game the team defeated BC Beroe 88-53 to start with a win its quest for the Final 4. The home side played really well in the second and third quarter which was enough to build a big difference. Beroe was missing four key players and that also contributed for the big difference. On Wednesday Hapoel will host TFT while next week Beroe will also host the North Macedonian side in a crucial match.It was a tight first quarter which ended up with the hosts leading by 2. In the second though they increased the efforts in defense and it showed on the scoreboard. The hosts finished it on a 12-2 run which opened up a lead of 15 points. Things were pretty much the same in the third quarter. The hosts started it on a 13-0 run which improved their advantage to 28 points and until the end the hosts controlled the difference and won convincingly.
Benaya Srur was the top scorer in the game with 16 points. Yotam Hanochi added 14 and 5 assists while Amit Gershon finished with 12 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
The visitors were led by Brady Rose with 15 points as Cadarian Raines added 13 and 6 rebounds.
