Akademik Plovdiv had no chance against Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion and suffered a heavy loss at home. Here is how head coach Yordan Yankov explained it:

"The level is completely different compared to Hapoel's and they played very aggressively on offense. The first minutes came as a slap in the face. We played better in the second half. At first we backed down and couldn't adjust. I really hope that on Saturday in the local league match against Shumen we will show team basketball and a lot of energy and desire and show good basketball. Many thanks to the audience and I think we will not disappoint them in the next matches."
