Domestic leagues: Important home win for Balkan

BC Balkan achieved an important home win against Yambol in the last game from Round 8 of the Bulgarian NBL. At home in Botevgrad, Petar Klechkov′s team defeated the visitors by just three points - 77:74.   Yordan Bozov was the top performer for the winning team. The former Bulgaria national player scored 22 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Krum Doychinov had 13 and Josh Gonner added 12 off the bench.   Pavel Marinov scored 17 and grabbed 5 boards for Yambol, while Simon Finzgar had 15 in the loss.   Balkan are now third in the NBL with a 5-3 balance, while Yambol are seventh with 2-6.
